Leo Williams graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2005 with a MA in Arabic and Philosophy. He has a long background in the coexistence sector, having worked in Israel with Givat Haviva, and been involved with Soccer for Peace (which uses football to promote coexistence in Israel) in a number of capacities for four years. He has been involved with The Abraham Fund Initiatives UK since 2006.
Leo has spent over two years as the Coordinator of the Scotland Malawi Partnership and he has also founded and developed a Scottish charity which uses sport to combat racism and promote social inclusion.
He has lived and worked in a variety of different countries, including Vanuatu, Malawi, Egypt, Lebanon, Israel and Tunisia. Most recently he has spent six months working with local NGOs in Senegal. Leo speaks fluent French, has a good knowledge of Arabic and a basic knowledge of Hebrew.
