Run to the Beat Half Marathon

Board Director Yishay Mor and Manager Leo Williams will be participating in the ‘Run to the Beat’ London half marathon on 27 September 2009 on behalf of the UK Friends of The Abraham Fund Initiatives.

We would love to use this marathon as a way to publicise the importance of coexistence in Israel. The best way for us to do this would be for as many of our friends as possible to join us! We are aiming to get a team of at least 5 individuals together in order to run together. We plan to produce t-shirts, run publicity campaigns around the marathon and hopefully encourage as much media coverage as possible.

At this stage I would love to appeal to our supporters to get involved. If you are interested in getting fit and running the half marathon with us, please get in touch. It costs £33 to enter, but TAFI UK could cover the costs of entry provided that you agree to raise a minimum of £250 for TAFI UK.

If you are not much of a runner but are still keen on getting involved, there are a number of ways to do so:

- Help us design a catchy t-shirt
- Tell your friends about us and invite them to become a friend of TAFI UK and indeed to run the half marathon with us
- Help arrange for us to come and speak to your community group – your synagogue, your mosque, your church, your work, your university etc.
- Share your media / organisational contacts with us

If you would like to run the half marathon TAFI UK or get involved in any other way, please contact me on 0207 841 8939 or leo.williams@abrahamfund.org.uk
